The Twin Puffins is a stunning log cabin situated on a 40-acre homestead, nestled into the rolling hills that overlook Kachemak Bay and the Kenai Mountains, just minutes from Homer, Alaska. This cozy, authentic Alaska log cabin features warm, rich golden hues of native Alaskan spruce that enhance the interior, creating an inviting atmosphere for your stay. French doors lead out to a partially-covered deck with a table and chairs, the perfect spot to unwind and take in the breathtaking views. This Homer Alaska vacation rental offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a front living area, and a fully-equipped kitchen with a dining area. A gas BBQ is conveniently located under a covered outdoor station, ideal for grilling your catch of the day or your favorite dishes. One bedroom, known as the Blue Room, is furnished with a King bed and includes an en suite bathroom with a full tub and shower. The second bedroom, the Green Room, features two Twin beds that can easily be combined to form a King bed if desired. The larger main bathroom boasts an oversized shower and a spacious vanity for personal items. For additional guests, a full-size futon in the front room offers extra sleeping accommodations for up to two people. The cabin also includes a laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer, so you won’t need to use an off-site laundromat. The Twin Puffin is a family owned and operated vacation rental cabin which provides a variety of extras to ensure our guests are comfortable and entertained during their stay. Enjoy complimentary WiFi throughout the cabin, along with flat-screen TVs featuring DVD and Roku in each room. To guarantee there's always something to do, we offer a curated selection of movies and a variety of board games, perfect for rainy days or relaxing evenings indoors.
The kitchen is fully equipped to meet your cooking needs. It features a stove and oven, a basic coffee maker, a toaster, a dishwasher, a refrigerator and freezer, and a full-size microwave oven. Guests will find all the essential cooking utensils they may require, making meal preparation convenient and easy. Additionally, the kitchen is stocked with basic condiments, spices, an assortment of teas, hot cocoa, and basic coffee for brewing.
For added convenience, an iron and a small ironing board are provided. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are also available, making it simple to keep your clothes fresh during your stay. Each bathroom is equipped with a heat/light/vent unit for your comfort, as well as its own hair dryer.
To make your stay as comfortable as possible, other complimentary supplies are provided, including paper towels, toilet paper, quality shampoo and body wash, hand soap, dish-washing soap and detergent, and napkins. With these essentials on hand, guests only need to bring their own food to enjoy a relaxing and well-equipped home away from home.
Rates
The Twin Puffins require a minimum stay of three nights. However, in certain circumstances, and based on scheduling availability, shorter stays of less than three nights may be considered with special approval. The nightly base rate is $325, which accommodates up to four guests. For each additional guest, an extra $25 per person applies, with a maximum of two additional guests allowed. A one-time cleaning fee of $100 applies to each rental. Additionally, a 3% sales tax will be added, calculated on the total rental amount. To avoid extra charges and fees, we recommend booking your stay directly with us.
