About the Cabin
The Twin Puffins is a beautiful log cabin nestled into the rolling hills of a 40-acre homestead that overlooks Kachemak Bay and the Kenai Mountains, just minutes from Homer, Alaska. Warm, rich and natural golden hues of native Alaskan spruce accentuate the cozy interior, creating an inviting atmosphere for your stay. French doors open onto the partially-covered deck where you'll find a table and chairs, the ideal spot to relax and take in the stunning views. Keep your camera ready for the wildlife viewing opportunities and seasonal beauty! The cabin has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, front living area, and fully-equipped kitchen with dining area. A gas BBQ is conveniently located under a covered outdoor station, perfect for that catch of day or your grilled favorite. One bedroom (the Blue Room) is furnished with a King bed and features an en suite bathroom with a full tub and shower. The second bedroom (the Green Room) contains two Twin beds which can be combined to form a King bed if desired. The larger, main bathroom offers an oversized shower and spacious vanity for personal items. For extra guests, a full-size futon in the front room provides additional sleeping accommodations for up to two people. The cabin also features a laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer, eliminating the need to use an off-site laundromat. - The Twin Puffins offers a range of entertainment options to keep our guests comfortable and entertained during their stay. Enjoy complimentary WiFi throughout the cabin, as well as a flat-screen TV's with DVD and Roku in each room. To ensure there is always something to do, a curated selection of movies and a variety of board games are available, perfect for rainy days or relaxing evenings indoors.
- The kitchen is fully equipped to meet your cooking needs. It features a stove and oven, a basic coffee maker, a toaster, a dishwasher, a refrigerator and freezer, and a full-size microwave oven. Guests will find all the essential cooking utensils they may require, so preparing meals is convenient and easy. In addition, the kitchen is stocked with basic condiments, spices, and assortment of teas and hot cocoa, as well as basic coffee for brewing.
- For added convenience, and iron and a small ironing board are provided. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are also available, making it simple to keep your clothes fresh during your stay. Each bathroom is equipped with a heat/light/vent unit for your comfort, as well as its own hair dryer.
- To make your stay as comfortable as possible, complimentary supplies are provided, including paper towels, toilet paper, quality shampoo and body wash, hand soap, dish-washing soap and detergent, and napkins. With these essentials on hand, guests need only to bring their own food to enjoy a relaxing and well-equipped home away from home.
Rates
- All rentals require a minimum stay of three nights. In certain circumstances, and based on scheduling availability, shorter stays of less than three nights may be considered with special approval.
- The nightly base rate is $325, which covers up to four guests. For each additional guest, and extra $25 per person applies, with a maximum of two additional guests allowed.
- A one-time cleaning fee of $100 applies to all rentals. Additionally, a 3% sales tax will be added, calculated on the total rental amount.
